Thatcheria mirabilis mm 55 Seashell Gastropoda Sea Snail Spiral Conch Raphitomidae, unique piece, as in photos.
Trawled at 40-60 mt. deep.
Family: Raphitomidae.
Common name: The Japanese Wonder Shell or Miraculous Thatcheria.

Shell very special and increasingly difficult to find, from the Sea of ​​Japan.
The specie has a unique feature: it is screwing (see photo) in the hollow of another shell, the Architectonica (any species of this genus, for sale on our website, at this link), although the two gastropods have never met, living in different seas.
