Tellina planata mm 45-55 Seashell Bivalve Wedge Clam Tellin Tellen Triangle Shell Cockle, both valves.
Family: Tellinidae.
Common name: Flat Tellin.
Syn. Peronaea planata, Angulus planatus, Peronaea cristata, Tellina complanata, Tellina flavescens, Tellina ovalis, Tellina rudis.

 It is the largest of the clams of the Mediterranean, easily recognizable by its oval shape with the rear fairing and the white color with yellow umbons. She finds herself beached quite easily.
