Xystrocera globosa is a species of beetle in the Cerambycidae family. It was first scientifically described by Guillaume-Antoine Olivier in 1795 under the name Cerambix globosus.
Xystrocera globosa is a beetle with a reddish-brown stem measuring 1.5 to 3.2 centimeters in length. It is distinguished from other members of the Xystrocera genus by its reddish antennae, dark bands on the elytra, and narrow bands on the flanks.
It is present in temperate and tropical Asia: it is known from Japan to Sri Lanka, including India, Pakistan, and the Korean Peninsula; and from Southeast Asia, from Thailand and Vietnam, to the Malay Peninsula and Maritime Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, to New Guinea and northern Australia. It is also known from Madagascar, Egypt, Puerto Rico, and Mauritius, and is found in both tropical and Nearctic Africa. The species has been introduced to the Caribbean. The beetles have also been reported in Hawaii, Oahu, and Honolulu; they were most likely introduced by humans. It has also been introduced to Israel.
