Origin : central Argentina (Santiago del Estero Province)

Megalobulimus oblongus ssp. lorentzianus mm 77 Land Snail Terrestrial Shell Tropical Air-Breathing Pulmonate Gastropoda, only a piece, as in photos.
The specimen has a slight dent on the major spire (see photo).
Difficult to find species, taken on land, in dry forest by local people, May 2011.
Family: Strophocheilidae.
Common name: Giant South American Snail.
Syn. Strophocheilus oblongus.
