Delias botwelli one wing lenght cm 2-2.5 Insect Tropical Butterfly Pierid Pieridae.

Delias bothwelli (Kenrick, 1909) is a rare and endemic species living on Arfak Mountains in the west part of Irian Jaya region on Papua island (New Guinea).
This species is similar to Delias dixeyi,  but but may be distinguished by the buff colour on the hind wing being extended over the entire wing, and also that the red submarginal line is heavier and shorter.

Delias is a genus of butterflies in the Pieridae family. There are about 250 species of Delias, which are found in South Asia and Australia.
The Delias genus is believed to have had its evolutionary origins in the Australian region.
Synonyms of the Delias genus are: Cathaemia, Symmachlas, Harpanota, Thyca, Piccarda.
