Notonecta maculata cm 1.3-1.5 Insect Water Aquatic Bug Backswimmer Predaceous Hemiptera Rhynchota Heteroptera.
Family: Notonectidae.
Syn. Notonecta marmorea.

Its common name backswimmer refers to this hemiptera's ability to swim on its back using its long hind legs as oars. It is capable of catching large prey such as tadpoles and fish.
