Pieriballia viardi mandela one wing lenght cm 2.5-3 Insect Tropical Butterfly Pierid.
Common name: Painted White or Viardi White.
Syn. Haballia mandela, Itaballia mandela, Itabalia viardi, Mylothris viardi, Pieriballia mandela, Pieris apicalis, Pieris habra, Pieris laogore,  Pieris locusta, Pieris mandela, Pieris noctipennis, Pieris tithoreides, Pieris viardi.


Pieriballia is a genus of butterflies in the family Pieridae. It consists of only one species, Pieriballia viardi, the painted white or viardi white. It is found from Mexico to Bolivia and Paraguay. Strays can be found in southern Texas in the United States.The habitat consists of rainforests and transitional cloud forests.
The wingspan is about 57 mm (2.2 in).
The larvae feed on Capparis pseudocacao.
