Sasakia charonda coreana one wing lenght cm 2.5-3.2 Insect Tropical Brushed-Footed or Four-Footed Butterfly.
Common name: The Japanese Emperor or The Great Purple Emperor.
Syn. Diaema charonda, Euripus choreanus.

It is the national butterfly of Japan, where it is known as 大 紫 or オ オ ム ラ サ キ (Ōmurasaki, "big purple").
Its Chinese name is 大 紫 蛺蝶 (Gives zǐ Jia dié, "Big Purple Butterfly").
