Callicore cynosura one wing lenght cm 2.5-3 Insect Tropical Brush-Footed or Four-Footed Butterfly Nymphalid Nymphalidae.
Common name: The BD Butterfly or Cynosura Eighty-Eight
Syn. Catagramma cynosura

Callicore cynosura is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. The common name refers to the markings on the underside of the hindwings, which resemble the letters "B" and "D" or the numeber 88. It is found in Amazonia, from Colombia to Brazil, and to Peru and Bolivia.
The wingspan is about 47 mm.The upperside of the wings is black, banded with brilliant red.
