Terror from the abyss

Always as regards the poisonous animals, also if spiders and scorpions will stand on the top of "hit parade" of the collective nightmares, almost each group of organisms can boast its . black sheeps. So there are some fine and gaily-coloured shells which mollusc, besides feeding on .fish (!), can cause the death of a man with the simple bite of the hooks of its ràdula! It's the case of some cones, like Conus geographus (in the photo, but it is in our catalogue, too), whose bite causes painful stitches, burning, ischemia, cyanosis, insensibility to the paralysis and coma, afterwards it follows the death for cardiac insufficiency. Also among some Cephalopoda there are analogue cases, like the australian Octopus maculatus, whose bite of the beak causes at first burning and itch, than hemorrhage, oedema and even symptoms like feverish thirst , vomiting, loss of muscular control, block of the word, deglutition and respiration, until the death. Besides don't exist specific antidotes! Do you still fear of spiders and scorpions?
