Zoisite Ruby, also known as Anyolite, is the natural combination of Ruby and Zoisite crystals. The Zoisite, the same mineral that composes the Tanzanite, tends to shades towards green and black while the Ruby has pink and red reflections. Zoisite Ruby is usually cut into jewelry or carved into decorative shapes that include animal shapes.
It was first discovered in 1954 in Tanzania. The name Anyolite derives from the word that means "green" in the Masai language.
