Return Policy and Guarantees

All purchases from "L'Arca di Noè," whether made by individuals, businesses, or VAT-registered individuals, are governed by the following general terms and conditions of sale. Each contract is deemed finalized upon receipt of the order confirmation email. "L'Arca di Noè" reserves the right to change the following terms and conditions. Any new terms and conditions will be effective upon publication on this site. We therefore encourage you to carefully read this page, including information on how to place orders and shipping methods and costs, each time you make a purchase.






Purchase Procedures and Contract Conclusion

1. The product catalog published on the website www.larcadinoe.com constitutes an invitation to tender. Completion of the order form and its submission by the Customer constitutes a purchase offer and does not constitute the conclusion of a sales contract.
2. Upon receipt of the order, the Seller will manually verify the availability, integrity, and suitability of the selected goods (as they are primarily natural items and unique collectibles).
3. The sales contract is deemed concluded and effective only when the Customer receives a formal order confirmation and acceptance email from the Seller, containing a summary of the available products, the total amount including shipping costs, and instructions for payment using the chosen payment method.
4. No payments or automatic debits are made upon placing the order on the website. If the ordered goods are unavailable, the Seller will promptly notify the Customer, and the purchase offer will be deemed void, without any charge or obligation for either party.

Right of Withdrawal and Limitations

1. In accordance with Article 52 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Consumer Customer has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract, without stating a reason, within 14 calendar days from the day on which the Customer (or a third party designated by the Customer) acquires physical possession of the goods.
2. To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must inform us by sending an explicit declaration via email to ordini@larcadinoe.com before the 14-day period expires. To this end, you may use the standard withdrawal form downloadable at the bottom of these terms and conditions or attached to the order confirmation email.
3. Costs and Return Procedures: The direct costs of returning the goods are the sole responsibility of the Customer. Goods must be returned to the following address: L’Arca di Noè - Via Renzo Rossi 22 – 00157 Rome within 14 days of the date on which the withdrawal was communicated. It is not possible to return goods without prior notification.
4. Integrity of goods and diminished value: Since these are natural finds, collector's specimens, and unique/delicate items (such as minerals, fossils, shells, insects), the goods must be returned perfectly intact, in their original protective packaging and wrapping, and complete with any original scientific classification tags or certificates of authenticity. Pursuant to Article 57, paragraph 2 of the Consumer Code, the Customer is responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than that necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and use. The absence or damage of the original scientific classification label, or structural damage to the item, will result in a significant loss of value for the collectible, which will be quantified upon receipt and deducted from the refund.
5. Refund: Once we have received the items and verified their integrity, we will refund all payments received from the Customer, including the shipping costs for the initial delivery (with the exception of any additional costs resulting from the choice of a different and more expensive delivery method than the standard one we offer). The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the returned items, using the same payment method used for the initial transaction.

Images of items.
In each catalogs, images have been included to better identify and illustrate the items as well as all those species of animals whose scientific name may not suggest anything to you.
Please note that all photos are purely indicative and may not faithfully reflect the purchased item, similar but not identical (the organisms, like their fossils, are not objects reproduced in series) to the one eventually chosen in the catalog. Exceptions are the photos of all the items offered for sale as single pieces: in this case the photo is precisely that of the object in question.

Product warranty.
Anyone who makes a specific request at the time of ordering, for orders worth not less than € 50.00, will be provided with a free certificate of authenticity from our company, relating to the purchased product (s). In the case of several items, the certification will be cumulative: we do not issue one for each item, if its value is less than € 50.
This must necessarily be requested when ordering to be included in the package. Otherwise, within the following 14 days, we will only be able to send a scanned copy, as we do not send material at our expense.
We remind you in this regard that we are however only resellers, and not a University or similar body authorized to issue such certifications, and therefore this document will never have the same value. In fact, it must be drawn up by a qualified professional who, obviously, as for the authentications of works of art, archaeological goods, precious gems, etc., charges handsomely for this document, a sum of money which, in all probability, will be much greater than value of the goods purchased. It therefore seems superfluous to point out that no one online provides this professional service for free.
By purchasing from us, however, we are always responsible for the quality of the goods sold, thus giving a guarantee of validity for all products purchased, for which you can exercise a regular right of withdrawal. Insects, fossils, shells etc. they are usually accompanied by a special tag from our company with the data of the find in question, when these are available. Together with any certificate of authenticity that may be requested by you, no later than 14 days after purchase, we therefore guarantee that our items are safe, both as regards their originality and with regard to legal regularity (CITES, complaints, etc).
 
Refund for missing items
If, due to some forgetfulness or error in the preparation of the packages, one or more items are missing at the delivery of the goods, having verified the above, we will make the corresponding reimbursement by bank transfer to the coordinates that will be provided to us.
Attention: We do not absolutely send omitted items at our expense, except if the customer intends to bear the costs of a new shipment (€ 4.90) or has planned to make a new purchase within a reasonable time, in which case, if the item is still available an not yet refunded, it will be sent together with the rest of the goods.
 
Use of products.
Most of the items we sell are reserved exclusively for collectors or professional use.
Therefore we do not respond in the most absolute way nor do we give any guarantee for improper, careless or reckless use of our products.
By this we mean that if you want to use our shells for massages and in doing so you graze the epidermis, if you want to put the dried starfish in the aquarium and by doing so restarting the rot processes all the fish will die, if you intend to crush minerals and obtaining powders that could be toxic if ingested, inhaled or handled, if you want to experience the thrill of frying and eating spiders and scorpions or other arthropods as is used in Southeast Asia, although aware that they are dead animals, stinging and / or poisonous, long dried and treated with insecticides, preservatives, petroleum, formaldehyde, etc. etc., if the stuffed vertebrates you give them to your children to make them into soft toys or bath ducks, the consequences of these deplorable actions will fall exclusively on the interested party or whoever is responsible for him.
The same applies to an inexperienced and unprofessional use of our chemical products which, in any case, always show their degree of danger, flammability and toxicity on the labels with all the appropriate warnings.
Therefore, do not buy our items compulsively if it is not clear to you what they are for and what the final use is for which they are intended.
In any case, we strongly advise you to always evaluate well and carefully what you are ordering and, if you have any kind of doubt about it, you are strongly requested to contact us in advance BEFORE sending us an order, in the mutual interest to avoid problems, discussions and losses of time. We are at your disposal!

IMPORTANT WARNING:
To all the alleged smart ones who use the Law to their advantage: we do not buy goods of order of any kind, so please save yourself asking for items not present on the site or in quantities that we would inform you would not be immediately available, because we will not allow you to avail yourself then the right of withdrawal to send back products you have purchased superficially or compulsively that we could not in turn return to our suppliers.
