Sternocera aequisignata cm 3-4.5 Tropical Insect Coleopter Jewel Beetle or Metallic Wood-Boring Beetle.

It is a kind of beetles called Jeerjimbe in Kannada language. Elytra and pronotum densely punctured, have a beautiful emerald green color with metallic iridescence. These beetles have a short duration of 3 or 4 weeks in their adult stage. The life cycle lasts about two years. It was common in some of the ancient cultures of Asia refined attach pieces of wood-boring beetles as these wing ornament paintings, textiles and jewelry.
