Are you fans of Jurassic Park? Unfortunately at the moment we don't have alive dinosaurs to clone, but we have authentic fossil teeth and bones of Saurischia and Ornithischia as sauropods, carnosaurs, ankilosaurs, pachicefalosaurs, Triceratops, hadrosaurs and other ornithopods, as well as coprolites, and fragments of eggshells or occasionally even whole eggs celurosaurs and hadrosaurs.
We also had some copies (resin reproductions) of original and unique exhibits in museums or private collections, but since their presence, although there were a few items, you wore to doubt that all authentic fossils were such, we decided reluctantly not to treat multiple replicas.
Always among the extinct Reptiles, we also propose fossils of Pterosaurs teeth of crocodiles and thecodonts, jaws of mosasaurs gigantic, colossal vertebrae snakes, turtles, etc.
We also have much more ancient fossils, up to half a billion years ago, and we are talking of Trilobites, marine Invertebrates disappeared today, or Orthoceratids, ancestors' long-limbed "of the Ammonites, which of course are not lacking in our catalog, along with other famous invertebrates as Brachiopods, crayfish, sea shells, sea urchins, crinoids, etc.
And, among the fossil remains of other Vertebrates, as well as various reptiles and dinosaurs, you will find again the teeth of giant extinct shark as Carcharodon megalodon, fossil fish on slab, remains of giant prehistoric Mammals such as whale vertebrae, bones of various Megaloceros (giant deer), woolly rhinoceros, the famous Mammoth, the Oreodon, some extinct horses, antelopes, prehistoric camels, walruses and other fossil of extinct ferocious carnivores.
Finally, for lovers of particular pieces, rare or collectible, we also have available tips Neolithic arrow, amber with fossil insects, and plant petrified, like ferns, ankle-shaped branch or section.
Our pieces come from several parts of the world, excluded unfortunately our interesting peninsula, because the Italian State forbids the commerce or detention of italian fossils, so please do not ask them to us.
Like for every category, our catalogs are subject to frequent revision, therefore you often come back to visit us if you are searching for novelties.
And now.... have a nice journey in the time!
Guide to the consultation of the catalog
As for the other zoological catalogue, the specimens of the Fossils Catalog have been subdivided in great and small systematic categories both thanks to the tree menu, either by using the appropriate internal research, to make easier the consultation. For example the section ammonites and shells is divided in class (Cephalopoda, Gasteropoda, etc.), super-order and order where is necessary (Ammonitoidea, Belemnoidea).
The NEW symbol in the green triangle if it's present, shows, for a brief period, all the new items of the catalog. The black text below the red name of the item indicates the main systematic category; then can follow, inside the item-card, some subcategories (blue, green, orange and yellow). For example: the ammonite Goniatites sp. (sp. means that it's a genus with uncertain specie, because no identified) has included in the section "ammonites and shells" (blue text), in particular in the class of "Cephalopoda" (green text) and precisely in the superorder "Ammonitoidea - ammonites" (orange text). The items are listed in alphabetical order.
After the photo, it follows a brief description of the fossil to give you an idea of the aspect and dimension; if it isn't complete, together the scientific name of the item (Genus and species) you can find it in detail opening the item-card of the specimen that you're examining. Under the photo you'll find the dollar price (which may or may not also be possibly on offers, so take a look at our Promo Catalog).
To know other information, clicking on Read More, you enter in a new page with one or more bigger photos (zoomable) of the piece and further informations useful to the purchase, like a more detailed description, its code number, the availability of the relating fossil (it could be temporarily finished or reserved), the origin, that indicates the place where the fossil has been recovered, the geological ages, that indicates Era (Period, Epoch, Age or Plane) during which time the animal, now available like fossil, has lived, together the million of years. At purchase, we'll supply also the precise date in addition to the repert.
The measures of fossils indicated in the catalog, can not always correspond, being one medium, often approximate, between pieces of various dimensions at the moment available (if it isn't only a piece). For the Ammonites the measure indicates the diameter, or for the Trilobites the length, etc. Is always excluded the rock matrix that can eventually to contain the fossil except where expressly indicated. If the real measure of the available fossil is much lacking from indicated measure in the catalog, to the action of a your eventual order we will communicate you the measure at the moment available.
For your orders, you can click on "add to cart" without fear: the ultimate purchase will take place successively, after our confirmation of its real availability (anyhow we exhort you to read the terms of sale).
