Description

26-45 gr, cm 2.5-3.5. Rhombohedral crystal of calcite with diffractometric properties (presents the phenomenon of double refraction: splits images, creating rainbows pictures inside).

It is believed that the Vikings, to infer the position of the Sun even when it was hidden from view by clouds or fog, which happens quite often, observing the sky through the fragments of this mineral by exploiting its special optical properties of polarization of light. Legend has it that through this crystal of calcite, are surviving in North America.
