Other Animals
Have you never put the hand into the shark jaws? Have you never seen a fish similar to a devil? You never sat down by mistake (we have done it ...) on a porcupine-fish? With us all this is possible! In this category we have included all those animals that we could not include elsewhere, therefore you will find a little of everything, like limulus, starfishes, crabs, jaws and a stock of teeth of shark, hippopotamus, buffalo, and also barnacles, globe-fishes, skulls of crocodile, ostrich eggs (only the shell...) and so on. Except teeth and claws, we are forced to specify that the animals of this catalogue are just mounted or stuffed, and therefore if you're looking for an alive fish for your aquarium you will have to sail outside from "”L’Arca di Noè”.
Like for every category, our catalogue are subject to frequent revision, therefore you often come back to visit us if you are searching for novelties. Moreover, if you are to hunting of some species absent from the catalogue, or finished, you may have it for the asking: we'll do everything possible to find them!
And now... good exploration!
Guide to the consultation of the catalogue
As for the other zoological catalogues, the specimen in the Other AnimalsCatalogue have been subdivided into great and small systematic categories to make easier the consultation. For example the phylum of Echinoderm is summarily divided in the classes of Echinoidea (sea-urchins) and Asteroidean (starfishes).
The NEW symbol near the scientific name (genus-species) of the animal, shows, if it's present, for a brief period all the new animals of the catalogue. The following green text indicates the main systematic category; this can be divided into subcategories (orange and yellow). For example: the crayfish Procambarus clarkii has included in phylum "Arthropoda" (green text), in particular in the class of "Crostacea" (orange text) and precisely amid the "Macrura" (yellow text). The articles are listed in alphabetical order.
After the photo (if present), it follows a brief description of the animal to give you an idea of the aspect and of the dimension; if it isn't complete, you can find it in detail opening the article-card of the specimen that you're examining. Finally you'll find the price in Euro and Dollar and the possibility to read the article-card: clicking on it, appears a pop-up with a bigger photo of the animal and further informations useful to the purchase, like a more detailed description, the origin, that indicates the place where the animals usually live, the availability of the relating animal (it could be temporarily finished), its code number, and at last the eventuality special price of the specimen (give you a look at our Offers Catalogue).
The dimensions of barnacles are indicated in grams, like the minerals; the measure of starfishes and sea-urchins indicates their diameter, while for the teeth the meausure indicates the longest side. However the measures can always not to correspond, being one medium, sometimes approximate, between adult animals that during their lifetime can not to reach the maximum dimensions. If the real measure of the available animal is much lacking from indicated measure in the catalogue, to the action of a your eventual order we will communicate you the measure at the moment available.
For your orders, you can click on keep shopping without fear: the ultimate purchase will take place successively, after our confirmation of its real availability (anyhow we exhort you to read the terms of sale). If you search for a precise article, let's use our search engine that we have added for you!
